Exams

It's time for students of 5th year and 7th year to sit and do their O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level) and N.E.W.T. (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test) exams. Obviously, there will not be an open log for doing exams, because those are all individual things, but we do encourage study groups and such to form for some last minute reading.

Official dates for these exams is from 6th of June to 17th of June.

Week one:

• Thursday: Defense Against the Dark Arks


• Friday: Ancient Runes

Week two:

• Monday: Potions


• Tuesday: Care of the Magical Creatures


• Wednesday: Astronomy, Divination, Arithmancy


• Thursday: History of Magic


• Friday: Muggle Studies

The written and practical exams will be on the same day. Both O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. exams will be held on the same days.

Holidays

The school is aware that some of the students don't have homes to go to, as they're somehow in the "wrong world". As such, every Original Universe character has been provided with a dorm to live in, near Diagon Alley in London (sheltered from Muggles). As such, a new area is open for characters to explore starting from July.

School will once again start in September 1st, but we will be making event stuff for summer holidays as well, with wizarding world as the stage.

Goodbye Hogwarts?

Leaving the school after the 7th year is one of the many options your character has. They can find a job in the Wizarding or Muggle world and threads can be played with your characters in different parts of the world. Communicating is still possible with Owls or the Floo Network with the characters still in Hogwarts. Who knows, maybe even visit the Hogsmesde every once in a while?

Your character does, however, have a chance at working at Hogwarts. We still have spots left for different professors: Acient Runes, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care of the Magical Creatures, Divination, Herbology, Muggle Studies, Transfiguration! They're currently all maintained by NPC characters, but Hogwarts welcomes ex-students who did well on their exams to come back to teach!

You can post your character's future plans here in this entry so that we know what you might be planning, but that's not mandatory. Of course, you can always drop your character after their story in the school is "over", but remember that there are chances for their story to continue on.

Mod Post

As you can see, there have been no changes (??) to the amount, but this is simply because of the fact that we needed a state of during January. Trying to predict the numbers would be difficult when these haven't been enacted nearly as much as they needed to be. The next month will have more results to them, but I have to commend you all for the amount of characters that have been brought here recently. It's a great amount and I'm super glad that you are all enjoying yourselves.


Plotting

Valentines Day is coming up the road and we definitely need plans for it! And we do!!!!

Thanks to Tamaki, a Valentines Ball of sorts will be hosted, so you guys definitely have that to look forward to! You can find the original post right over this way!! Since Rizu is the one putting this up, we'll leave the details for her. She can explain in the comments below if she so choose.

On our end, we do have a few things planned, but in order to get ready for the ball, you need a chance to get your dresses/dress robes right? Which in turn warrants a visit to Hogsmeade of course! We will be putting up a log for that on Friday the 12th, so keep an eye out for that. And in order to get into the spirit of things, there might be a little excitement from our end, but you'll just have to wait to figure that out. Hopefully Cupid doesn't go too crazy this year.

And soon there will be a Quidditch match (finally), but what I'd like to address more than that is plot related events! We hinted plot advances a few months back (October I believe), but life sort of threw us through a loop and we weren't able to put up a follow up post for it. We can't give anything away, but there will be something for that after Valentine's Day is over!

We just want to apologize for not getting to these things sooner.

If anyone has any further player plots they would like to run by us, feel free to let us know down in the comments below or the plurk that will pop up letting people know about this post. But before I wrap things up here, I would like to direct your ways to this list here. I was a bit curious and decided to work on something like this, though I can't guarantee how accurate it is. I have gone by past dropped and apped threads as well as the OOC Comm tags to figure these out and some names need to be updated, but eventually there will be updates.

This will be a short update, but I (Terra) just wanted to take this chance to say that I'm really sorry for how late these events were. They have been respectively backdated to the days in question. The links for each will be below in a moment, but...there is one other matter I would like to point out.

Obviously I've tried to keep the activity check in as routine as possible, but as some people might know, I lost my entire post when I was writing it out, so this is what will go done.

I will be putting AC up later today, but here are things to note. The statistics will be extremely skewed mostly because I'm an idiot and completely forgot to post the results for Septembers. Ergo, it's extremely possible to re-list other people by accident or over all just mess up on it. The numbers will be off and seem a lot worse than it is as far as October goes. I decided to just wait a little bit for the reason that Halloween would be a busy day for most people (myself included like wow), so the AC will run from November 1st to the 5th.

As far as the September results go, I don't think I'm going to worry about that at this point of time, just the October results after the check in. That being said, would you guys like a warning OOC post for those who have not posted? I've tossed around this idea for a while, but I'd like to see what your guys' thoughts are about it.

Last time I spoke about general information for those to reference. If you have not seen it yet, you can find it here. If you have not yet filled it out, please do so as soon as you can. This will not only help us mods, but also you and everyone else who would like to check. As you might notice, there are some pets with no names. You are free to update that whenever you think of something. Megan has also added a OOC informational post that will be updated between the two of us over time. if you have any more info that you think that should go in there, feel free to leave a post and let us know and we'll add it.

Plotting

If you're wondering what will be happening in terms of events, there are only a few planned out for now. Those will come in due time. For now, what you need to know is that school officially starts today! There will be a log put up regarding the start of classes for people who would like to tag into that. From there, you may post anything about classes and homework per usual. We will probably get to that later today, but look forward to that.

But what's this? You're not done, Terra? No I'm not! There is one more event planned for sure, but I think I'll let you guys find that out for yourself later about what it is.

Good morning everyone! I know I had a post up a few days ago, but I do have a few more updates to share with everyone. For now I think I'll start with a few things that I've added.

Mod Updates
Concerning Mod updates, I made a comment about looking for another mod or two to help out a little. Megan (Roxas!mun) has decided to remain as a mod, so you can look forward to having either her or I to talk to about any problems (though I'll probably have to do the specific questions you guys might or might not have). She's been a great help and she's still going to be around.

Although Megan aside, I am looking for one more helper mod. If any of are interested -- as I've said in the other one -- there will be an app to fill out coming up in the next few days. Keep an eye out for that if you are interested. I'll specify on there too, but I would preferably like to have someone who knows a decent amount about Harry Potter and has some experience with modding. Now, this isn't required by any means, but if you have the experience in that or even basic HTML, it will help a great deal.

Jobs
I also brought up the topic of possibly having jobs. Eventually later down the road, I'll probably put something up regarding jobs. So anyone interested in earning money once it's up and figured out, there will be that option. For now, it might be a little while before that comes.

School Date
Recently I was asked if school had already started or if they were on break. It is actually something that should have been figured out right away, but it slipped my mind completely until brought up. When does school start?

We'll be going by the book date, which will be September 1st!

For whomever has already did posts regards possible classes and something of the sort, I talked to a few people and decided on this. For those brought here from their own canons, they have early classes before the school year actually starts up to catch up the best of their abilities. Remember, those students are automatically assumed to belong here as if nothing was strange, and as such they will be expected to know certain spells by their professors. Don't like that scare you though, they don't have to obviously since they most likely have very little idea about this place so far.

And what about those AUed into the setting? What are they doing right now? For the sake of keeping things simple, you can just assume they came back to the school earlier than usual.

Original Universe vs HP AU
Unlike the others, this will be short and sweet. I just wanted to inform you all that said taken list change has been put into motion. Don't fret though. All it is is adding the option to list who's a HP AU or not as a reminder. There's really nothing that much different about it besides that.

Special Abilities
This topic has been brought up a few times, so I've finally made an appropriate post for it. Just keep in mind that anyone who would like to have one of the Special Abilities (SA) will have a few terms to it. First of all, please stick to abilities that are canonly linked to your character. That means you don't have to be from your original canon to get said SAs, but try to keep to the general idea. The other point I'd like to make is that there will be a limited amount of said spots to keep from having them appear everywhere. If you want one, you'll have to contact a mod to see if you can; there will be no automatic assumptions that you will get it without talking to one of us.

There are other abilities as well which relate to your character's powers. As of right now, I am open to allowing certain abilities or powers to some extent, but because there are so many different kinds out there, I really need to go by a case-by-case scenario. As always, you are always welcome to ask what would be allowed and anything along the lines of powers. Do keep in mind that for the most part, your powers have been replaced with magic. If there is something extremely important for your character, I am more willing to allow it to some extent. If I feel that I really do need to put restrictions up, I will let you all know, but I hope that you guys won't abuse this chance.

I have put up a basic post regarding a few things like pets, years, and houses. It's basically a catch-all reference for other people who need the information. As this musebox/game/??? continues and gets more characters and muns, the need was rising.

I request that everyone post to this to keep everyone in the know.

And as a final order of business, Although I will most likely forget to add something and then realize later, this is just a short notice. It was only a matter of time before I did it, but I felt that posting mod posts and threads through my personal Plurk seemed a bit off. So now there is a Plurk for the game; You can find it at Imperturbatus, as unique and creative is that is. I will try my best to keep it updated and add all who chose to add it.
